We encourage everyone to make more conscious choices.
At Sunnysix Active, we are taking action by providing consumers with sustainable options. As a conscious and sustainable brand, we commit to making more environmentally conscious and ethical decisions throughout the whole process.
With the goal of challenging the fast fashion industry and ultimately driving the industry towards a sustainable future, we have partnered with a non-profit organization and eco-fashion manufacturer who share the same commitment.
Partnership with Healthy Seas
Healthy Seas is an environmental initiative that was established with the aim of removing waste from the seas, particularly fishing nets, for the purpose of creating healthier seas and recycling marine litter into sustainable textiles. The recovered fishing nets and other discarded industrial waste are then transformed into ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which we use to create our activewear.
Marine protection initiatives of Healthy Seas include: recovering fishing nets with the help of volunteer divers, preventing marine litter through collaboration with local communities, and raising public awareness on the environmental damage caused by waste.
P100 from every piece purchased will go to ocean cleaning initiatives by Healthy Seas
Every year, 8 million tons of waste end up in our seas and approximately 640,000 tons of fishing gear is lost or abandoned in the ocean. Every year, millions of animals - whales, seals, turtles, birds - are injured and killed by fishing nets.
By donating an amount from every piece purchased, we are able to help Healthy Seas achieve its mission of recovering harmful waste from our seas and preventing even more from ending up in the marine ecosystem.
Help us clean our seas and save marine wildlife!
From Waste To Wear
Turning trash into treasure, the ECONYL® Regeneration System creates 100% regenerated nylon yarn out of fishing nets and other nylon waste such as discarded fabrics, plastic components, and carpet fluff.
Our products are made from ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which performs exactly the same as brand new nylon but with that sustainability edge. Yes, it's important to give a damn!
The ECONYL® Regeneration System starts with rescuing waste, such as fishing nets, fabric scraps, and industrial plastic, from landfills and oceans all over the world. The waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all nylon possible.
Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as virgin nylon.
ECONYL® regenerated nylon is processed into textile and carpet yarn for fashion and interior industries.
Sustainably sourced and sustainably produced, all Sunnysix Active pieces are ethically made using ECONYL® regenerated nylon, which has the potential to be recycled infinitely.
